The Health Law Commission of Women in a Legal World (WLW), led by Pilar Jimeno and María Pérez Bretones, has participated in the XXX National Congress of Health Law organized by the Spanish Association of Health Law (AEDS) that took place in Madrid on November 7 and 8, 2024. The WLW and AEDS Health Law Commission, whose common objective is the grouping of people with an interest in issues related to health law, reached a collaboration agreement within the framework of the Congress to give visibility to female talent in this area of specialization.
Once again, the AEDS National Health Law Congress has brought together jurists, healthcare professionals and professionals from the sector to debate key topics such as the European Health Data Space, digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence in medical practice and the Law ALS.
Ofelia De Lorenzo, president of AEDS and head of the WLW Health Law Commission, highlighted during the opening ceremony that the objective of the Congress has been “to address both classic and emerging issues in Health Law, seeking to offer effective legal responses to current challenges. and futures of the sector.”
The participation of WLW and, in particular, the Health Law Commission, has been notable in the Congress with the participation of members and leaders from the health sector in the inauguration and in the various round tables such as Ofelia De Lorenzo, Ana Pastor , Raquel Murillo Solís, Escarlata Gutiérrez Mayo and Ana Bosch Jiménez.
